Scott & Admir's wedding

Having holidayed many times in Fiji, Scott and Admir decided to spend their wedding day there – but there was one small problem: same-sex marriage is not legal in Fiji. After much thought they came up with the ideal solution: a sunrise wedding service in New Zealand, followed by a reception on their favourite tropical island!

The day was perfect: the couple were married (and toasted with a champagne breakfast) at Auckland’s SKYCITY Grand Hotel, then whisked with 40 guests to Auckland Airport and on to Fiji. Together they watched the sun set from their luxurious beachfront resort, where guests were treated to a feast of Fijian food accompanied by live music from local musicians.

Of course they organised every detail themselves. “It was the best day of our lives,” says Scott. “Simple, stylish and seamless – everything that we wanted it to be.”
